In the true spirit of the West!
Jeeping is a historic tradition
here in Ouray. The roads you
will travel will take to see the most majestic vistas of the San Juan
Mountains over some of the most rugged terrain in the United States. Back
in the early 1800's these trails were only passable on foot or horseback.
They were created by the prospectors, trappers and miners to access mining
claims and hunting grounds. It took sheer determination to seek the richness
of the gold and silver that was discovered in the highest elevations in
these mountains.

Today, you will trace the footsteps on many a men before you on roads much wider, or at least in most places! All the mines are closed now and all that remains is the history your tour guide will share, a few townsites, mining memorabilia and the grandeur of the sights before you. As there is much more to the story to tell... we invite you to accept our invitation to come along and see it for yourself.
