Colorado West Jeep Tours and Rentals is located in the heart of America's Little Switzerland - Ouray, Colorado. Our convenient location at 701 Main St. makes it easy for you to come in and talk to us in person. Our friendly staff will assist you in selecting the best tour or the appropriate trail for you to drive on in one of our new Jeep Wranglers.

Colorado West Jeep Tours has the oldest permits issued by the State of Colorado. We have enjoyed a great reputation for safety and presentation of enjoyable tours in the magnificent San Juan Mountains.

Our guides are fun, knowledgeable and very safety conscious. Many of them return year after year. All guides are First Aid and CPR certified.

All tour vehicles are inspected annually by the State of Colorado's Public Utility Commission. Each vehicle holds up to 12 passengers and is equipped with rain gear, lap blankets and first aid kits.

Bob Burdick has been the owner operator of Colorado West Jeep Tours and Rentals for thirteen years. Bob was a tour driver prior to purchasing the company in 1992.

Our Mission:
The goal of Colorado West is to provide our clients with an optimal vision of the spectacular scenery the San Juan Mountains offer, with the least amount of intrusion of the delicate environment. Our intention is to create awareness of the significant history of the area and the need for historical and environmental preservation.

Our guides are trained in the geological, historical and environmental aspects of the area. They will offer a combination of lecture/conversation, stopping to view the various points of interest and quiet time to just sit back and take in the sights.

We expect to provide our clients with a safe, informative and enjoyable experience that won't soon be erased from their memory.
