Yankee Boy Basin - Highpoint elevation 12,600 ft.
This tour travels through one of the most historic mining districts in the San Juan's, as is traverses switchbacks up to an elevation of 11,200 feet. The spectacular Twin Falls will be the first sight you will see as you enter the basin. Often referred to as a Photographer's Paradise, for its majestic waterfalls, emerald hillsides and vast lush basin. In mid-July, the wildflower extravaganza in Yankee Boy is second to none.
Engineer Pass - Highpoint elevation 12,950 ft.
For those who seek adventure, this rugged trail will take you past the remains of the Mickey Breen Mine and the San Juan Chief Mine. At the high point of your ascent to12,950 ft., is the most spectacular panoramic view of the San Juan's as you reach the summit and the famous Oh Point! Along the way your experienced and knowledgeable guide will share the rich history of the mining era as you travel this early stagecoach route.
Corkscrew Gulch - Highpoint elevation 12,217 ft.
This scenic tour takes you over the saddle between Red Mountain One and Two. It was originally build to access rich mine strikes in 1882. It is a popular tour to view fall foliage as you will travel up through dense forests with occasional openings to the lush valley below. As you make your way up to the mineral rich summit the views will be amazing. From the summit you will head down into the basin below the road takes you over Hurricane Pass where you will view Lake Como and the majestic Eastern side of the San Juan's.
Imogene Pass - Highpoint elevation 13,114 ft.
The second highest driveable pass in the State of Colorado. This is one of our most popular tours, offering spectacular views, thrills, and unique mining history. Impressive views of the Camp Bird Mine and Canyon Creek will appear as you travel along the cliffs above. The road winds up the mountain through a basin area filled with wildflowers in mid July, leading to a narrow shelf road past the Upper Camp Bird mining area to the majestic summit. Make sure you bring a warm sweater for this ride! as the wind is always blowing up there!
